Growing up, I was captivated by fashion’s endless possibilities—tearing fabric from my clothes to create something new, seeing style as pure expression and creativity. Yet, as I flipped through magazines and scrolled fashion blogs, I noticed something missing: real racial equity and representation. Faces that looked like mine—Black and brown—were scarce, often limited to just one or two pages.
