NOLAN WELLS.

Nolan Wells, an 18-year-old boy, was murdered while on a boat trip in Mississippi with his white friends on a 4th of July trip, and they came back with his phone, full of gaping holes. Throughout Mississippi, people and the world have concocted their own stories about what happened there, and Mississippi law ruled there was no foul play. But we know as the public that race played a role, that Nolan Wells did not drown, that his so-called white friends lynched him. Nolan Wells being killed in Mississippi resurfaced the 1955 Emmett Till lynching that shook the world but also altered the civil rights movement. On October 14th, New York took to the streets to protest for Nolan Wells, demand that the case be reopened, his name be heard, and call for an internal investigation. We stand with his mother, father, family, and friends, because we will never be free until anti-Blackness propaganda stops, color lines dissolve, and the institution collapses completely.
